Value-based healthcare (VBHC) is a concept of healthcare that focuses on maximizing the value of each treatment for patients based on their personal perceptions and preferences. The value is defined as the relationship between the health outcomes achieved and the cost of providing the service.
Our association has set itself the goal, of promoting and implementing the principles of VBHC in healthcare. This includes promoting patient-centered care, increasing cost efficiency and improving the quality of care.
Our membership is open to people with an interest in or from the healthcare sector, including doctors, nurses, health economists, managers and scientists, as well as politicians and patients and their representatives who are interested in the implementation and promotion of VBHC. Membership is decided by the Board of Directors.
Interested professionals can submit a membership application via our homepage. Our Board of Directors will review the applications and provide feedback within two weeks.
Membership costs CHF 120 per year, with a reduced fee of CHF 30 for students and trainees.
Discounted participation in the annual event. 3-4 webinars per year on VBHC-related topics. Access to additional information (e.g. past webinars) in the members' area of the homepage. Network with VBHC enthusiasts.

What is VBHC
Value-Based Healthcare (VBHC) is an approach to healthcare that focuses on maximizing the value of the services provided to patients. In contrast to the traditional model, which focuses primarily on the number of services provided, VBHC focuses on the outcomes that are important to patients. This means that quality of care and patient experience take center stage, while keeping an eye on costs. VBHC strives to create better healthcare by increasing efficiency and improving patient outcomes.
